GM is shutting down the Saturn brand after talks with PENSKE collapsed. Penske was planning to have GM make the cars for a while then they were working out the kinks to have another auto maker continue making the brand...well, it's all over. Penske bailed and GM is going to send Saturn off into the sunset with good friend Pontiac. So Sad.

Here is the complete story.

Below are the links to several websites that will give you the approximate value of your car. These sites DO NOT BUY cars, so you can't use them as a stone cold fact, but if will give you an idea of the value.

My car doesn't run...now what?

If you are trying to sell your car, and it doesn't run, you can still get cash for it. It will really help, though, if you know what's wrong with it. If you are trying to sell a car and you just tell the buyer that it doesn't run and you don't know why, you could hurt yourself two ways. First, if it is something simple and the buyer sees how to fix it for like $100, he may offer you $1000 less than it's worth. Conversely, if he has no idea what is wrong, he is going to offer even less because he has to cover his potential loss if it is a HUGE repair. Either way, you are getting less than you should.

If the repair will cost you $250 at Sears, Midas or another local chain store, you can be sure that the buyer can get it done for about $150 tops at his own garage. Be willing to deduct the cost of the repair, as well as the "unknown" factor when negotiating. Sometimes, when a car sits for too long, it causes other repairs to be necessary, so it is helpful to know how long the car has been inoperable if possible, and to share this information with the buyer so you get a fair and honest appraisal of your vehicle.

What is your car REALLY worth?

If you are trying to put a value on your car, there are a few ways to get a ballpark idea, but there is one fact about values....the market decides. Yes, it's true. Your car is worth whatever someone will pay you for it.

There are sites like Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds or Black Book that will give you a pretty good idea of the value, but that doesn't mean that is the price you will get for it. If you want to get a real cash offer, there is really only one way to get market value; by getting MULTIPLE offers. If you drive over to your local car dealer and ask them to buy your car, what will you get for your car? What if you pulled up on a lot and they had FIVE used car managers all trying to buy your car? You would get five different values. (I think you would take the highest one, right?)

Well, by using our SELL A CAR site, you can get cash offers for that car. Just visit our site again, and fill out the CASH FOR CARS 60 SECOND SELL MY CAR form and your offers will be on the way.
